  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onion

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using). Reserve half for later.
  2. Place shrimp in a sealable bag or container and pour half of the marinade over them. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated shrimp (discard used marinade). Cook for about 45 seconds until pink; flip and pour in remaining marinade. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fully cooked.
  4. Serve immediately, garnished with green onions if desired.
