  • 500g ground beef or lamb
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 34 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste; cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until thickened.
  5. Add ground meat; brown evenly.
  6. Mix in spices and salt; cook for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Add diced potatoes and enough water to cover them; bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat and simmer covered for about 25 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  9. Garnish with garam masala and fresh coriander before serving.
