Ingredients
- 500g ground beef or lamb
- 2 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 3–4 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Salt as needed
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup oil
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.
- Sauté the chopped onion until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste; cook until fragrant.
- Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until thickened.
- Add ground meat; brown evenly.
- Mix in spices and salt; cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Add diced potatoes and enough water to cover them; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer covered for about 25 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Garnish with garam masala and fresh coriander before serving.
