- 125 grams confectioners' sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and lightly grease a doughnut pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, buttermilk, egg, vanilla extract, and nutmeg until combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined.
- Fill each cavity of the doughnut pan about three-quarters full with the batter.
- Bake for about 11 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
- For the glaze, mix confectioners' sugar with milk and vanilla until smooth; dip each cooled doughnut in the glaze before serving.
