- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by dissolving it in warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar; let sit until frothy (about 10 minutes).
- In a large bowl, combine the yeast mixture, remaining sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough and knead until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Prepare filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture, and top with blueberries.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, cut into 12 pieces, and place them in a greased baking dish. Allow to rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, mix cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth for frosting.
