  • 1 lb smoked sausage (sliced)
  • 2 lbs diced potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sliced smoked sausage for about 5–7 minutes, then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and minced garlic until translucent (about 3–4 minutes).
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onions and garlic, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes covered and then an additional 15 minutes uncovered until golden brown.
