  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt unsalted butter. Stir in granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Sift in cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt; mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars. Add egg and vanilla extract; beat until fluffy.
  5. Gradually mix in remaining flour, baking soda, and salt to form cookie dough. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour brownie batter into the baking dish, then drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top.
  7. Press down gently to create a marbled effect. Bake for 30–35 minutes until edges are set but center remains gooey.
