  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate (for mousse)
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture until fully combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  4. For the mousse, melt semisweet chocolate with milk in a double boiler or microwave until smooth. Whip chilled cream until soft peaks form and fold in melted chocolate.
  5. Spread mousse over cooled brownies and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
