Ingredients
- 1 cup + 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2/3 cup mini chocolate chips
- 200 g milk chocolate (for coating)
- 200 g dark chocolate (for coating)
Instructions
- Heat-treat flour by baking it at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes. Let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract and sea salt.
- Gradually add heat-treated flour while stirring until combined. Fold in mini chocolate chips and milk.
- Chill mixture for 30 minutes, then scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto parchment-lined baking sheet; roll into balls.
- Melt both types of chocolate until smooth using a double boiler or microwave.
- Dip each chilled ball into melted chocolate until fully coated; return to parchment paper.
- Allow to set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm.
