Instructions

  1. Boil udon noodles as per package instructions. Strain and rinse under cold water.
  2. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat; sauté onion, garlic, and shiitake mushrooms until fragrant.
  3. Add water and soy sauce; stir well. Strain the mixture, return the liquid to the pot, and dissolve miso paste off the heat.
