  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (or vegetarian stir fry sauce)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1.5 tsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup cold water

Instructions

  1. Wash and strain the broccoli florets until clean.
  2. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, shaoxing wine, sesame oil, cornstarch, sugar, and cold water.
  3. Bring a pot of water to boil in a wok or large pan; blanch the broccoli for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  4. Strain the broccoli and place it on a serving platter.
  5. Dry the wok/pan and pour in the prepared sauce mixture; simmer until thickened (1-2 minutes).
  6. Pour the thickened sauce over the broccoli and toss gently to coat evenly. Serve immediately.
