  • ½ pound sweet Italian sausage
  • 48 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 12 lasagna noodles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and sausage until fully cooked; drain fat. Stir in minced garlic and spaghetti sauce, then simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 2 cups mozzarella cheese, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper; mix until smooth.
  4. Layer the bottom of the dish with meat sauce, followed by uncooked noodles, cheese mixture, and more sauce. Repeat twice.
  5. Top with remaining noodles and sauce. Add the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Cover tightly with aluminum foil (sprayed side down) and bake for 50 minutes. Remove foil for an additional 10 minutes to brown.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
