Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 2 ¾ cups chicken broth
- ¾ cup half and half
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- ½ chicken bouillon cube
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- ½ lb. shellbow pasta
- ¾ teaspoon EACH: dried basil, oregano, parsley, mustard powder
- ¼ teaspoon EACH: dried thyme, onion powder, pepper
Instructions
- Prepare seasonings by combining dried basil, oregano, parsley, mustard powder, thyme, onion powder, and pepper in a bowl.
- In a large soup pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and seasonings; stir until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, half and half, soy sauce, and add bouillon cube. Mix well.
- Bring to a boil; add shellbow pasta and cook uncovered according to package instructions.
- Once pasta is done, reduce heat to low; stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Mix in fresh lemon juice.
- Finish by adding remaining butter on top; cover for a few minutes before serving.
