  • 1/4 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed fully cooked lean ham
  • 4 oz fat-free cream cheese (cubed)
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter; stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk and half-and-half, bringing it to a boil while stirring until thickened.
  3. Stir in cubed ham, peas, dried basil, garlic powder, and pepper until cream cheese melts into the mixture.
