- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red-pepper flakes (or more to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, crushed red-pepper flakes, and ground ginger until well combined.
- Heat vegetable oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in the prepared sauce and sliced green onions. Simmer for about 2 minutes until heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnishing with sesame seeds if desired.
