  • 10 oz linguine
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  3. 3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
  4. 4. Add brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes; mix well.
  5. 5. Thicken the sauce by combining cornstarch with water in a small bowl; add to the skillet and stir until thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
