- 10 oz linguine
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 4 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
- 3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
- 4. Add brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes; mix well.
- 5. Thicken the sauce by combining cornstarch with water in a small bowl; add to the skillet and stir until thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
- 6. Toss the cooked linguine into the skillet to coat with the sauce.
- 7. Serve hot garnished with sliced green onions.
