Ingredients

  • 16 string cheese sticks (cut in half)
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper.
  2. Coat each cheese stick in flour, dip it into the egg mixture, then roll it in breadcrumbs. Repeat for double coating.
  3. Freeze coated sticks for at least 2 hours until solid.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry frozen sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
