Ingredients
- 16 string cheese sticks (cut in half)
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons milk
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper.
- Coat each cheese stick in flour, dip it into the egg mixture, then roll it in breadcrumbs. Repeat for double coating.
- Freeze coated sticks for at least 2 hours until solid.
- Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry frozen sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
