Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella
- Olive oil (for cooking)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Dried basil
- Dried oregano
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, diced onion, minced garlic, parsley, Panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, dried herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Cut mozzarella into small cubes.
- Take about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture; flatten it slightly in your palm. Place a mozzarella cube in the center and roll into a ball to encase the cheese.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
- Pour marinara sauce over browned meatballs; cover and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
