- 1/4 cup light corn syrup

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add egg yolk and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Gradually incorporate flour and salt until the dough is crumbly but holds together when pressed.
- Shape tablespoon-sized portions into balls and place them on the baking sheet. Make an indentation in each ball.
- In another bowl, mix chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until sticky.
- Spoon the pecan filling into each cookie indentation.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden around the edges. Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
