  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch bundt pan with butter or shortening and lightly dust it with flour.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, vegetable oil, water, and chocolate chips. Mix on low speed for 30 seconds and then increase to medium speed for about 1 minute until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until set.
  4. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a cake plate to cool completely.
  5. For the frosting, combine butter, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream in the stand mixer. Mix until creamy.
