Description

Salt River Bars are the ultimate sweet and salty treat that everyone will adore! These decadent dessert bars feature layers of buttery Club crackers, luscious caramel, and rich chocolate, all topped with a sprinkle of Maldon sea salt. Their delightful combination of chewy, creamy, crunchy, and chocolatey textures creates a truly irresistible experience.


Ingredients

  • 90 Club crackers
  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Maldon sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare a 9 by 13 inch baking pan with parchment paper and nonstick spray.
  2. Layer the bottom with Club crackers.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, graham cracker crumbs, and heavy cream over medium heat until combined.
  4. Boil for about 7 minutes until slightly thickened; pour half over the crackers.
  5. Add another layer of crackers and the remaining caramel mixture on top.
  6. Chill in the fridge to set.
  7. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together in intervals until smooth; spread over the set layers.
  8. Sprinkle with Maldon sea salt and chill again before cutting into bars.
