  • 750g chicken breast (cut into chunks)
  • 2 onions (quartered)
  • 3 tsp garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 250ml chicken stock
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 500g broccoli florets
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp water

Instructions

  1. In your slow cooker, combine chicken chunks, quartered onions, crushed garlic, minced ginger, chicken stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.
  2. Set the slow cooker on low heat and cook for 4-6 hours.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  4. Add room temperature broccoli florets to the slow cooker.
  5. Switch to high heat and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until broccoli is hot.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles.
