- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for lemon sugar coating)
- 3 tablespoons lemon zest (from ~4 lemons)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt; set aside.
- In a stand mixer, beat margarine until creamy. Gradually add sugar and mix well. Incorporate eggs one at a time, then add milk, lemon juice, lemon extract, vanilla extract, and optional food coloring.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
