- 1 1/4 lb. ground chuck
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 8 oz. egg noodles
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 1/4 c. small curd cottage cheese
- 1 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
- Sliced green onions (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground chuck over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
- Stir in tomato sauce, salt, and pepper; simmer.
- Cook egg noodles until al dente, then drain.
- In a medium bowl, mix sour cream and cottage cheese with pepper; combine with drained noodles and green onions.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the noodle mixture, half of the meat mixture, and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
