- 200g spaghetti
- 6 crusty white rolls
- 500g ground beef
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 80ml red wine
- 500g tomato passata
- 200g mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- Fresh basil and parsley
Instructions
- In a skillet, sauté onion until golden brown. Add minced garlic and ground beef; cook until browned. Stir in tomato puree.
- Pour in red wine; reduce slightly before adding tomato passata, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, basil, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 25 minutes.
- Hollow out the rolls by cutting off the tops and scooping out some bread. Brush inside and outside of rolls with a mixture of melted butter, garlic paste, parsley, and parmesan.
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente; drain and mix into the sauce.
- Fill each bread bowl with the pasta mixture; top with shredded mozzarella.
- Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes until the bread is crispy and cheese is melted.
