- 4 pounds baby back pork ribs
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper (cracked)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (or cayenne powder – optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 3 tablespoons garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 – 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Remove the tough membrane from the ribs and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dry rub ingredients: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, cumin, and optional chili powder.
- Sprinkle the rub over both sides of the ribs and drizzle with olive oil; coat evenly.
- Cover with foil and bake for 2 hours.
- In the last 5 minutes of cooking, mix together all sauce ingredients in a bowl.
- Remove foil, apply sauce generously on the ribs, increase oven temperature to 460°F (240°C), and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes.
- Broil on medium-high for about 3 minutes until edges are charred.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
