Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot and stir until well mixed.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring often. Reduce heat and let simmer for 30–35 minutes until thickened.
  3. While the sauce simmers, sterilize canning jars and lids by boiling them in water for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Ladle hot sauce into sterilized jars, leaving about ½ inch headspace.
  5. Wipe jar rims with a clean cloth, seal with lids, and process jars in a water bath canner for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove jars from canner and let cool for 12–24 hours before storing in a cool, dark place.
